Four Russian eruptions captured by NASA satellite

Tuesday 22nd January 2013
Separated by only 110 miles, Shiveluch, Bezymianny, Tolbachik and Kizimen were imaged erupting simultaneously on 11th January, 2013. Detailed images of these eruptions taken by NASA’s Terra satellite were released this week.
Shiveluch and Bezymianny both show emergent lava domes, while Tolbachik, a shield volcano, is behaving similarly to Hawaiian type volcanoes.
